The objective of the program is to facilitate effective implementation of best practice in information management and information technology for the purpose of high quality electronic data management within and through general practice

The GP Network supports best practice in referral and communication between GPs and other service providers.

Stategies include:

• Access to and support for effective electronic referral systems such as
ARGUS

S2S electronic referral

Shared Electronic Health Record

• Facilitation of improved communication between GPs, specialists and other health providers

• Access to secure and effective email accounts on the MEGPN Domain: name@megpn.com.au

• Provision of a ‘Help Desk’ and troubleshooting of email issues

• Monitoring and facilitation to enable general practices to maximise relevant government e-health initiatives

• Provision of high quality training and education, resources and information in electronic data management for GPs and practice staff.
