Refugee Health
The health promotion team aims to promote the health of people from refugee backgrounds in the GP Network community by:
- Supporting general practice to provide ongoing care to the local refugee community and to establish systems to undertake Medicare-funded refugee health checks.
- Seeking ways to increase the number of GPs willing to see refugee patients.
- Improving access to primary care for people from refugee backgrounds.
- Maintaining effective links with local initiatives relating to culturally and linguistically diverse groups.
